mega burger
Dan and I went into the city this morning to look at the farmers' market and go to the store on the square that sells board games (we purchased "Thebes"). I was a little hungry so we thought we would stop for a snack. Danny had heard of this new bistro on the square which sells burgers....normally found only at McDonald's. We asked the cashier what she recommended and she told us their fried calzones were really good. I wanted to try their burgers so we decided to get one of each and share so we could both try them. The calzone really was fried...it was like eating a donut ham sandwich. It reminded me of something you might get at the state fair. I had ordered the mega burger because it was a menu deal with fries and a drink... I thought "mega" meant more value for your money because it came with fries etc...But "mega" really meant MEGA as the burger was at least 10 inches across. I was completely embarrassed. We were cracking up because ON the burger were a fried egg and soggy fries and the meat had what Dan called "a hint of beef". The restaurant had security cameras in each area of the building and the monitors were up front where you orderd, so I am sure the entire staff and ordering customers enjoyed watching us eat our donut ham sandwich and our 10 inch in diameter fried egg hint of beef burger. When we walked by the registers on our way out I could have sworn that the cashier had the funniest smile on her face as if we had completely entertained her.
LOL, that's gross and funny!
