countdown to summer:  2 days!!!
 a job well done

Today is my last day of work. I am cleaning my desk, arranging files and dreaming of summertime freedom. But I am also thinking of what a privilege it is to work at this school and teaching these kids. Sometimes they make me nutty and I feel like screaming into a pillow, but, more often than not, I am happy to teach them, not only English, but to train them how to be a kid wih virtue. Most of all I want to glorify my God with the work that I am doing. How do I know that I have done a good job? Did I smile at the students and the teachers radiating Jesus' love? Did I pat each one on the shoulder every day with a friendly smile, because for some it will be the only friendliness and love thay receive that day? Did I arrive at work on time and do my job without complaining? Did I do something for someone else to help them through their day? Of course I want to teach well so that the children's English improves, but I also want to be a light in the darkness and a friend to those who need one. I want to do for others and not just for myself...then I will have done a good job.
