an idiot abroad
Living in a foreign country (or merely travelling to one) requires an open mind, a healthy dose of patience, tolerance and humility, and the realization that we are guests in our host country no matter how long our stay. We still behave here, after 4 1/2 years, as though we are guests. As much as is humanly possible, we try to align ourselves with the culture so as not to be offensive in any way. Even after the "honeymoon period" which we also experienced, even after the newness has rubbed off and the flaws are more noticeable, we still try to enjoy the culture, we look for the good in the people and the everyday happenings here in our host coutry of the Czech Republic. Which is why this show is so hilarious...
I laughed out loud during this next bit when he asked the man about his pudding (dessert to my American friends)...enjoy
I almost peed myself during this bit as he goes about asking for Mexican Jumping Beans....
