worms

Nothing makes me happier than digging in my garden and finding lots of worms. They are so good for the soil and they are really cool looking and make great pets. When I was a preschool teacher way back when, I had a worm farm so my students could see the life cycle of the worm. It was very awesome...did you know that worm babies look like a gazillion white threads?

Over the past year I have been carefully cultivating a huge worm population in my garden baeds and composter. Unfortunately, I have really poor soil, but I am hoping the worms help. If not, next year I will be planting potatoes, and only potatoes, to try to aerate the soil for a better harvest the following year.
