Outside my window...are lurking the same clouds that have entombed us for a few weeks now. I am raising the alarm to DEFCON depressing.
From the kitchen....caprese salad with fresh basil from our basil plants. I chop tomaotes and top them with fresh mozzarella, a basil leaf and saturate the whole thing with olive oil and balsamic viniagrette. Yummy!
I am wearing...a purple and gray track suit and pink fuzzy socks.. I took off my work clothes right away today. It is freezing cold outside and I almost want to light a fire in the fireplace, read a book and drink tea.
Pondering these words...
Nebuchadnezzar said, "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! He sent his angel and rescued his servants who trusted in him! They ignored the king's orders and laid their bodies on the line rather than serve or worship any god but their own...there has never been a god who can pull off a rescue like this."
Daniel 3:28, 29
I consider the many ways God has rescued me and how much more I need His rescuing.
I am thankful for...my children. Today is Children's Day in the Czech Republic. Everywhere today, all over this country, people are celebrating their children. Thank you, My God, for my two fabulous children whom I treasure. you have created them so beautifully and have given them to me to care for. Help me to be grateful for them veryday.
I'm going...to pick up my friend's kids at their school and bring them over to our house today. My friend, Fiana, is in Linz with her huband today so Yarra and Kily are coming to our house to hang out.
I am reading...Diary of a Wimpy Kid...getting ready to see the movie hopefully sometime soon. The series is really great for kids and super funny. Especially for Rebekah, she can really relate to it since she is now in Middle School.

I am hearing...the dryer spinning round and round.
Around the house...new pets...see tomorrow's post!
I am hoping...for a few days of sun in a row...I am jonesing to lay out in my bikini!!
A few plans for the rest of the week: taking care of my sick husband. it seems that he has contracted the plague that rebekah and I had. Bleah...
