Outside my window...snow...predicted. But none so far. I am waiting. What we do have are clouds and cold. Gray sky, black trees and the mushy brown ground cover consisting of autumn's leaves.
From the kitchen...banana-apple-coconut bread. Spicy and moist. We made bread and muffins, the muffins were brought to school and handed out to hungry looking staff members.I am thankful for...apologising and being forgiven by my daughters when I blow it with them.
I am wearing...a black skirt, black tights and a pea green sweater and black boots.
I am creating...a home and hearts awaiting His coming...Advent approaches
In the garden...a few small flakes of snow left over from today's snowfall
A thought I am pondering..."Without missing the fun, sustain a healthy paranoia about your heart and your temptations. I think it is possible to have a healthy paranoia without living fearfully or cautiously. A healthy paranoia not only keeps us alert and honest, but hungry to keep learning. Success dulls our eagerness to learn." Jon Acuff
I'm going...to a store called Lidl. Every year they have their British Week and they have the most amazing English mature cheddar in the whole world. It is seriously the best cheese that I have ever tasted. Does anyone know if I can freeze cheese?? (Cheese acquired...4 packages...the LAST 4...good until February...)
I am reading..."Strange Things Done" by Larry Bratvold. The author is the father of my dear friend Dawn. He is a gold prospector in the Yukon and he actually struck gold about a twenty years ago in the old Klondike mining area. His story is pretty interesting.
Around the house...Christmas presents being tucked away in secret hiding places...shhh, don't tell...
A few plans for the rest of the week: The Arts Festival at Townshend International School. Rebekah is dancing and displaying her artwork (she is drawing each student in the school to make a permanent display), Roxie is singing a song with a friend and both girls are performing in the choir and a samba group.
I am hoping...to get well soon. I felt poorly at work today and I don't want to take time off..I am hearing...the girls downstairs in the kitchen discussing what the lyrics mean to "Put Your Records On"

A picture thought...
BENTO!!!
Dan surprised us all by preparing bento boxes for the girls for their snack at school. Lucky for Rebekah that she had insomnia as she was still awake and helped him out. Most of the guys in the box are representations of her friends at school with a happy panda and hotdog octopus thrown in for good measure.

Daddy says that freezing cheese is not a good idea -- changes texture and taste. So, just enjoy your cheese -- wrap it loosely and no plastic - it will last longer.
