hodgepodge

bye, noah

Folks, this is Noah Scott Ellenwood. He is an American teenager (15) living in Český Těšín, near the Polish border, with his family who are missionaries working with Cirkev Braterská (Brethren Church). We follow our version of American Idol called Česko Slovenská SuperStar and we were surprised to see Noah Scott Ellenwood among the contestants auditioning. We watch faithfully every week and call in our vote for Noah. I really like his voice. Not the strongest voice of the bunch, but one of the most interesting to listen to and he has good stage presence for a kid and has attracted quite a following of screaming teenage girls. It is interesting to see in all of the interviews etc... and how the media presents him and his family as they are missionaries. It is unusual to say the least to have an American on the Czech Superstar show. An amazing experience for him. Unfortunately, last night, he did not make the cut to the finals. We all were really disappointed. Not just for him, but that we won't get to hear his interesting voice anymore. One of the judges, Rytmus, a famous Slovak rap artist, said to Noah that he would hook him up with a few opportunities. I hope he comes through on that. I am looking froward to seeing what God will do with all of this in Noah's life and the life of those he influences in Český Těšín. Maybe we will hear his voice again one day soon...
